ECA partners with Content With Purpose
In February 2022, ECA announced it is partnering with Content With Purpose (CWP) to produce a digital series exploring the electrotechnical sector’s pivotal role in realising the UK’s net zero ambitions.
Electrotechnical professionals are seizing opportunities to create a cleaner world, decarbonising the UK energy network, electrifying heat and transport, developing smart buildings and improving energy efficiency. The work of electrotechnical installers will be crucial in ensuring this transition happens; with EV infrastructure, among other new technologies, representing a huge opportunity for the sector.
But urgent progress is needed to keep up with the pace of change necessary for the safe and efficient switch to an electrified future, including advances in innovation, better multi-disciplinary working, recruiting the future workforce and upskilling.
ECA and its Members are committed to driving the electrification agenda
Featuring interviews, podcasts, films, articles and a documentary, ‘Leading the Charge’ will shine a light on the electrotechnical community and tell the story of the organisations and professionals powering the transition to net zero.
The digital series will explore progress in areas such as renewables, energy storage, retrofitting, automation, electrical safety, policy and training, and provide a platform for the exchange of ideas and best practice, whilst raising awareness and inspiring the next generation.
‘Leading the Charge’ will launch in September 2022. It will then be promoted through an extensive digital marketing and communications campaign with tailored content for specific audiences including the ECA’s network, built environment professionals and the wider electrotechnical sector, policy makers, educators, young people and the general public.
Steve Bratt, ECA Group Chief Executive, said: “ECA and our Members are committed to driving the electrification agenda. The road is long and faced with many challenges. But we are proud of our community’s achievements and aspirations in pursuit of net zero. We are excited to raise awareness of these efforts through our collaboration with CWP, and hope this serves to educate and inspire others too.”
Max Smith, Managing Director, CWP, said: “Harnessing clean electricity is fundamental to the UK achieving net zero by 2050, our emissions targets simply cannot be achieved without it. We are dependent on the electrotechnical sector for its roll-out and this period of change demands a step change in order to make electrification a reality. We are excited to meet those accelerating progress and give them an opportunity to tell their story in transforming the UK.”
CWP is a strategic content creator that works in partnership with leading member bodies and associations; engaging professionals on their industries' contribution to solving the climate and ecological crisis.
